Duration

South route · Volcanoes and wine

Volcanoes & vineyards

We begin at the striking Green Lagoon, head into Timanfaya National Park and its landscape of fire, and finish in La Geria, among vineyards unlike any others in the world. It is the most direct way to understand why Lanzarote looks like nowhere else.

  2. 2Parque Nacional de Timanfaya
  3. 3La Geria

North route · The north and its history

  1. 1Jameos del Agua
  2. 2Mirador del Río
  3. 3Villa de Teguise

Central route · Art and nature

César Manrique’s island

  2. 2Villa de Teguise
  3. 3Fundación César Manrique

South Premium route · Volcanoes and wine, with more time

A slower taste of the south

The south route at an easier pace, with two extra moments: the Monumento al Campesino at the heart of the island, and a visit to a La Geria winery with a guided tasting and a walk among the vines. For those who want to savour the south without rushing.

  1. 1El Charco Verde
  2. 2Parque Nacional de Timanfaya
  3. 3La Geria
  4. 4Monumento al Campesino

North route · 6 h · César Manrique’s north

What “private” means

A private tour is only for your group: no waiting for strangers and no timetable built around a full coach. Stops, breaks and time in each place are decided around you.

The conversation changes too. You can ask questions, go deeper into what interests you and spend longer where something moves you.

Guiding and transport are not the same

An official guide explains and interprets the island; transport is a separate service. The published routes are run with an official guide and a professional driver, with the vehicle depending on group size.

Your proposal will set out clearly how transport is arranged and exactly what is included — no surprises.

If you’re staying on the island

I pick you up at your accommodation, anywhere on the island. Tell me where you’re staying when you get in touch and I’ll suggest the route and timing that best fit your stay.

If you’re staying in Playa Blanca, bear in mind the drive to the main sights is longer and may take a little time off the visit.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

Let’s design your tour together.

If none of the routes quite fits, we can design a tailor-made itinerary together. Browse my favourite places on the island and tell me what you’d love to see.

TRANSPARENCY

I have had private tour guides from Thailand to Alaska – Claudia Hernandez is one of the best. She planned our day in Northern Lanzarote so that we saw all of the amazing sites in a way where we could fully enjoy them while staying right on schedule. Claudia’s explanations were clear and in-depth when we asked questions ranging from history to geology. Some of our group of six only spoke English while others only spoke Spanish. Our guide, Claudia, moved easily between both while giving us great explanations. Our tour was so successful that we requested her for our tour of the south, which was even more spectacular. She knows her subjects thoroughly and was very pleasant.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS · 5

What people ask me mostabout private tours

Which route do you recommend for a first visit to Lanzarote?

The 4-hour South route (El Golfo, Timanfaya and La Geria) shows the most iconic landscape in a morning. With a full day, the 7-hour north-to-south route covers the island’s essentials.

What is the difference between the 4, 6 and 7-hour routes?

With 4 hours there is time for 2 or 3 visits and a return to your accommodation for lunch. With 6 hours, 3 or 4 visits with a lunch option. With 7 hours, up to 5 visits with a lunch option.

Can I combine stops from different routes?

Yes. The six routes are a starting point: if you prefer another combination, we design a tailor-made itinerary together.

How many people can join?

Tours are private for groups of up to 10 people. If you are more, write to me and we’ll look into it.

How much does a private tour cost?

Tours with guide, minibus and driver start from €590 per group of up to 10 people. I’ll send you a fixed price based on the route and date; asking doesn’t commit you to anything.
