Guided Santa Catalina hike in the Los Volcanes Natural Park: 3 h 30 min, about 7 km, easy. Private, from €180, with a qualified mountain guide.
As well as an official tour guide, I’m a qualified low and mid-mountain guide and a professional hiker. My usual route is Santa Catalina, in the Los Volcanes Natural Park next to Timanfaya: an easy trail among cones, craters and lava flows from the same eruptions that formed the National Park.
About 7 kilometres and three and a half hours at an easy pace through the Los Volcanes Natural Park. You walk across the landscape of the 18th-century eruptions, with views of the volcanic cones and the sea, while I explain how the island was formed and how life has returned to the lava.
It’s a private walk for your group of up to 10 people, from €180. We start at 9:00 at the trailhead. Transport is not included: you come in your own car and I’ll give you the exact meeting point when you book.
Sun and wind rule in Lanzarote, and a 9:00 start helps a lot in summer.

The Santa Catalina route is easy: about 7 km in 3 h 30 min, at a relaxed pace.
Walking access inside the National Park is very limited. The Los Volcanes Natural Park, right next to it, offers landscapes from the same eruption.
In your own car: transport is not included. I’ll give you the meeting point when you book; we start at 9:00.
