Your car, my island.

If you already have a hire car or your own transport, you can book me as a guide only. We design the route together and I come along to tell you the history, the volcanoes and the corners of Lanzarote that you won’t find on the signposts.

What each format allows

These are my current rates for the guide-only service. Each extra hour beyond the booked time costs €100.

  • 4 h: usually 2 or 3 visits and back to the hotel for lunch
  • 6 h: 3 or 4 visits, with a lunch option
  • 8 h: up to 5 visits, with a lunch option

How it works

You arrange the transport: your hire car or a coach you book yourselves. We meet at an agreed point and start from there. It’s a good option if you only want to visit one particular place, or if you already have your own coach.

Not included

Transport, entrance fees for the tourist centres and the National Park, meals and personal purchases. Extra hours beyond the time booked are charged separately, at €100 per hour.

Timanfaya by car

The Route of the Volcanoes cannot be driven in a private car: you park at Islote de Hilario and continue on the Park’s coach. If Timanfaya is a must for you, a tour with minibus and driver (from €590) may be more comfortable; I’ll explain when we plan the route.

Do you ride in our car or meet us at each stop?

We meet at an agreed point. You arrange the transport, with your hire car or a coach you book yourselves. If you’d rather not, I offer a guide with minibus and driver, from €590.

Can I mix stops from different routes?

Yes. With the guide-only service the route is fully tailor-made.

Which languages can you guide in?

Spanish, English and Italian.

What does the guide-only service include?

An official tour guide for the booked time. It does not include transport, entrance fees, meals or personal purchases.
