Los Hervideros: What to see and how to visit them in Lanzarote
Los Hervideros: lava cliffs and caves where the Atlantic crashes in, on Lanzarote’s south-west coast.
Lava cliffs where the Atlantic crashes into caves and arches, creating a show of spray and sound that recalls boiling water.
When lava from the 18th-century eruptions reached the sea, it cooled suddenly and left a coast full of cracks, arches and caves. The waves rush in and burst out as white foam, as if the water were boiling — hence the name. Paths let you look into the openings safely.
Entrance fees to tourist centres are not included in the tours; opening times and prices depend on each centre.
